Nine in Ten Greeks are Dissatisfied With Government's Performance

flagNine out of ten Greeks express their dissatisfaction with the Greek government, believing that the country is moving in the wrong direction, according to a Public Issue survey in November.
Specifically, 92% of participants are dissatisfied with the government’s performance, but at the same time 84% have a negative opinion of the way the opposition works. It should be noted that 52% of Greeks believe that neither a SYRIZA-ANEL government, nor a New Democracy government are capable of solving Greece’s problems.
Yet, 42% of participants believe that New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis would make a better prime minister while only 22% believe the same about Alexis Tsipras. One third of them (35%) replied that neither one is suitable to be Greece’s leader.
Finally, in a period characterized by turbulence in the eastern Mediterranean region, most citizens believe that our country became weaker on the international scene compared to last year. Specifically, 53% believe that Greece was weaker in the last twelve months, while only 8% think that Greece’s position has been strengthened.
