Several Turkish Αircraft Ιntruded Ιnto Greek Αirspace, Athens FIR on Monday

There were multiple infringements of the Athens Flight information Region (FIR) and violations of Greece’s airspace by Turkish military aircraft on Monday, according to an announcement by the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS).
Two Turkish F-4 fighter aircraft and two Turkish F-16 jets entered the Athens FIR without submitting flight plans between the islands of Lesvos and Chios at 13:32. The two F-4s then proceeded to fly over the islands of Makronisi and Anthropofagi in the Fournoi complex, at a height of 3000 feet, and exited the Athens FIR three minutes later, between Samos and Kos.
A few minutes later, at 14:02, the two F-16s also flew over Makronisi and Anthropofagi at a height of 18,000 feet and then over the island of Agathonisi at 14:04, at a height of 18,200 feet. Four minutes later they flew over the islet Kouneli, south of Agathonisi, and then back over Agathonisi at a height of 21,800 feet to exit the Athens FIR a minute later between Samos and Kos.
There was also an infringement of the Athens FIR by a Turkish naval cooperation CN-235 aircraft. In total, there were four infringements of air traffic rules in the Athens FIR that developed into 35 violations of Greece’s national airspace in the Aegean, of which seven were flights over Greek islands. In all cases, the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted by Greek fighter planes, while on one occasion the interception evolved into a mock dog-fight. Two of the Turkish aircraft were armed.
