At approximately 8:03 a.m. a 5.3 Richter earthquake shook the island of Nisyros.
According to figures from Athens’ Institute of Geodynamics, the epicenter was located 23 kilometers west of the island and the focal depth was estimated at 105 kilometers.
At this time, there are no reports of damage or injuries.
