Arsonists Target ‘Wise Men’ of Labor Reform

Early Wednesday morning arsonists placed an incendiary device outside of the office of lawyer Dimitris Bourlos, one of the so-called “wise men” who created a list of proposals regarding labor market reforms requested by Greece’s international lenders.
The device outside of Bourlos’ office in central Athens, in Exarchia, went off at 4 a.m. and was put out by residents who live in the same building as the office. There were no reports of damages.
This was not an isolated incident as another device made of four cooking gas canisters exploded at another location nearby on Acadimias Street outside of the Center for European Constitutional Law shortly afterwards.
Four people were rescued by firefighters from the burning building.
On Tuesday similar events took place as arsonists targeted the home of Efrosini Kouskouna, one of the “wise men” who heads the National Actuarial Authority.
