ESM Expects Green Light in January for Greek Debt Relief Measures

“We expect by the end of January the official green light for the Greek debt relief measures,” said Calin Anev Jansa, a member of the European Stability Mechanism Board (ESM, in an interview to Dow Jones news agency, according to a post in the twitter account of ESM.
“We have increased by 14% our target for long-term financing in 2017, to meet additional liquidity needs for the relief of Greek debt,” the official ESM said. He added that the goal for long-term financing amounted to 57 billion euros, an estimate which may change during the year. He also noted that the ESM will issue bonds in dollars for the first time in 2017.
