On Thursday the body of an unidentified male was discovered in a dumpster in the Athens suburb of Dafni at the corner of Papanastasiou and Irodotou streets by municipal cleaners.
According to sources, a homicide unit was sent to investigate the circumstances in which the man ended up in the dumpster, wrapped up in a sleeping bag tied with cables. The body was found in an advanced stage of decomposition, and police are trying to discover his identity.
There was no other information at this time about the case or if there is any suspect of wrong-doing which might have led to the man’s death.
