Freezing Weather Claims Another Migrant's Life in Northern Greece

On Tuesday Greek authorities reported that a second migrant’s life has been lost in direct correlation to the freezing temperatures in the northern region of the country.
The body of a man was found buried in the snow outside of a Greek village on Monday and thus far the probable cause of death has been listed as hypothermia. Authorities believe that the man most likely died over the weekend. There was no further information given on the migrant.
This is the second migrant death related to the cold weather in the past two weeks.
Even with severe cold and freezing temperatures, many migrants are willing to take the risk of being smuggled across the Evros river in northern Greece from Turkey in order to enter the EU country and seek asylum.
