As Athens continues to wait for the conclusion of the second bailout review from its lenders, on Tuesday, government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said that he wants the foreign finance ministers to “acknowledge progress” Greece has made.
According to Reuters, Tzanakopoulos wants the country’s lenders to give the country credit due for progress made thus far in meeting the bailout stipulations at the scheduled meeting in Brussels on Thursday.
Now Athens is waiting for a swift conclusion of the bailout review to allow the country to participate in the European Central Bank’s asset buying program during the first quarter of 2017.
