Former footballer and Portugal coach Paulo Bento has been fired after only seven months serving as manager for Olympiakos. He is the third coach to have passed through the team in just this past season.
The prologue to his departure, in addition to the 2-0 defeat at PAOK on Sunday, was his attack against the club on Sunday evening for transferring some of the teams best players (such as Luka Milivojevic to England and Brown Ideye) to China.
Retired football player Vasilis Vouzas will be taking over Bento’s post to be the fourth manager this season. Before Bento’s termination, the team passed through coaches Marco Silva and Victor Sanchez.
