Creditors to Return to Greece after April 23 to Resume Talks

Creditors’ teams will return to Athens to resume talks on the bailout program review after April 23, according to a Real.gr report.
The report cites an anonymous government source who said that the quartet of international creditors will return after the International Monetary Fund Spring Meeting that takes place April 21 – 23 April in Washington.
In the spring meeting the IMF will decide on the sustainability of the Greek debt. In the meantime, the Greek government is required to legislate the measures it has agreed on, the source said.
The Greek government is looking for an extraordinary Eurogroup in early May to close the deal, in order to meet the deadline to participate in the European Central Bank quantitative easing (QE) program. The issue of Greece will be discussed in the ECB board meeting that will take place on June 22.
The Greek administration is rushing to complete the evaluation as it has loan repayments close to 7 billion euros due in July.
