OAED Data Shows Reduction in Unemployed Numbers for March

According to Manpower Organization (OAED) data, March’s numbers for unemployment in Greece were reduced by 2.51 percent.
OAED announced the latest figures on Wednesday and says that the 2.51 percent reduction, equivalent to 27,573 people, is due to the fact that Easter came early this year and thus launched the tourism season earlier than the previous year.
The figures showed that as of last month there were 1,068,293 individuals without employment while the numbers for the year-on-year showed 1,072,216 people in 2016 — a difference of 3,923 people.
