Tragedy off Lesvos: Sixteen Migrants Drown in Open Sea

Tragedy struck at dawn on Monday morning as a boat carrying migrants sunk north of Mithymna, between Greece and Turkey, under unclear conditions.
Initially, five migrants were found dead in the open sea near Lesvos, but that number has now increased to sixteen.
Greek port authorities rescued a pregnant woman who was in a state of shock and has since been sent to Petra. The women said that the boat started its journey from Turkey at 11 p.m. the night before and had 25 people on board.
