The European Central Bank on Thursday approved a request by the Bank of Greece to lower the ELA-ceiling for Greek banks by 100 million euros to 46.5 billion euros up to and including Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
The Greek central bank, in an announcement said that the reduction of €0.1 billion in the borrowing ceiling reflected developments in the liquidity situation of Greek banks, taking into account private sector deposits flows.
