ATM Robbery at University in Athens; 1 Suspect Caught, Gun Found

Greek police have recovered a handgun in a toilet at the Agricultural University of Athens on Thursday. The gun, a Zastava pistol was used in an armed robbery at the University on Wednesday.
Two suspects were involved in the robbery, one of them was caught and arrested while trying to flee from the scene and police are searching for the second suspect. Authorities are hoping that a T-shirt and mobile phone that were recovered will help in their search, as reported by ekathimerini.com
The two robbers were involved in raiding an armored car that was dispatched to refill an ATM machine at the University on Wednesday morning. They had planned to take off on a motorcycle but one of the University guards managed to knock it over.
The suspect in holding is refusing to cooperate with authorities and won’t allow for his fingerprints to be taken. He was charged yesterday by a first instance prosecutor with robbery, carrying a firearm and resisting arrest.
