Eurovision 2017: Portugal Wins First Place, Greece Takes 19th

Last night concluded the Eurovision 2017 song contest and the winner with 758 points was Portugal’s Salvador Sobral with his song “Amar Pelos Dois”. This is the first time that Portugal has won the contest in 53 years.

Greece’s entry “This is Love” sang by Demy came in 19th place, and Cyprus’ performance with Hovig singing “gravity” came in 21st.
Demi’s performance of “This is Love” was cheered by the fans as she delivered a beautiful song complete with background special effects and two dancers that joined her mid-way through the performance on the stage. The performance highlighted elements of modern dance, in a dramatic pool of water that rose up front the stage while Demy’s simple and elegant flesh-colored dress glittered in the spotlight.
Second place in the contest went to Bulgaria and third place to Moldova.
