Greek PM Tsipras: If They Give Us May’s Offer Again We are Going to an EU Summit

At a cabinet meeting on held on Tuesday, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras stated “we are standing before the most crucial negotiation since the crisis began. It is crucial not only for avoiding a default but for the prospect of ending the debt-crisis itself.”

In addition, he commented that “Finally, after seven years, we march to this battle, having a specific plan, having allies and knowing what we want to gain and what to avoid and all this planning, as well as our alternative solutions, must be commonly agreed on by the Cabinet.”

Finally, he made clear that “If there will not be a solution and we will remain in an offer equal with the one that Eurogroup made last May, my suggestion to the Cabinet is to reject it and go to an EU Summit asking them to face up to their responsibilities.”
