British Airways Now Offering Direct Flights to Skiathos Island

Tourists can now make their way to Skiathos with new British Airways Flights that are available three times a week from London City.
The airline inaugurated the new flights to Skiathos — famous for film Mamma Mia! which was shot on the island — by a performance by the London City Singers, who entertained with songs from the Hollywood movie.
BA’s Luke Hayhoe said: “After the release of the hugely popular Mamma Mia! film, Skiathos became one of the most sought after holiday destinations. It sits perfectly with our other Greek Island routes,” the Wharf reported.

The island, also famous for its pine forests and beaches, is the third Greek Island route to be offered as a direct route vacation destination from London City Airport. The two other islands offered are Mykonos and Santorini
Fares starting from £80 each way, are available to book on ba.com/londoncity and will operate during the peak summer season until September.
