Greek Museum and Archaeological Site Guards Announce Work Stoppages for Thursday

The archaeological sites and museums of the Prefecture of Attica will remain closed from 8 am to 11 am on Thursday, July 6, due to work stoppages of guards.
According to the Panhellenic Association of Antiquities Guards (PEFA), the reasons that led to this decision are as follows:
The archaeologists consider it “inconceivable that there will be no consultation of the Fund of the Archaeological Resources and Expropriations Fund (TAPA) on major issues concerning: 1) “the better functioning and profitability of the organization” and 2) “the continuation of remuneration and overtime payments for limited time contract workers.”
