Greek Police Campaign for Tourists: 'Stay Safe in the City of Athens'

The Attica General Police Directorate on Thursday set a pavilion at the Acropolis archaeological site providing information to foreign visitors for a safe stay while in Athens and surrounding areas.
This is part of a Hellenic Police campaign entitled “Stay Safe in the City of Athens.” It aims at providing general information and safety tips to foreign visitors so that they avoid any incidents that could make their stay in the capital unpleasant.
A pavilion in front of the Areopagus hill was set up on Thursday morning. Police officers are distributing English-language pamphlets with useful information and safe tour directions to tourists.
The stand was attended by Public Order General Secretary Dimitrios Anagnostakis, as well as Hellenic Police chief, Lieutenant-General Konstantinos Tsouvalas.
