In Texas a funeral was held for 22-year-old Bakari Henderson, the American tourist who was beaten to death on July 7 while on a photo shoot to launch a line of clothing on the Greek island of Zakynthos.
Bakari recently had graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona. His friends and family have described him to the press in recent days as a kind and loving person.
Officials have arrested seven suspects – five Serbs, one British citizen of Serb origin and a Greek for the fatal beating of Bakari outside of a bar.
Funeral services began at 11:00 am on Saturday at the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, according to King-Tears Mortuary.
