The Turkish-occupied Municipality of Morphou is sending on Thursday a letter to the United Nations and the European Union, to protest a decision by the Turkish Cypriot side not to allow a religious service at the church of Ayios Mamas. The Municipality will also seek to meet with the President of Cyprus to discuss the matter.
Morphou Mayor Victoras Hadjiavraam said today that a letter has been handed over to the President, asking for a meeting, and the municipal authority is aiming to hold similar meetings with all party leaders.
