Superyacht Koi sunk in the Ionian waters, after catching fire early morning of September 9th.
According to reports from a Greek coast guard, the 35-metre Koi had requested assistance in the early hours of Saturday morning due to a fire on board.
At the time of the emergency, Koi was located in Greek waters between Kefalonia and Zakynthos islands in the Ionian Sea.
According to local reports, the seven occupants of the vessel were rescued by crew members of the fishing vessel Afroditi, and they are now safe and sound.
It was also reported that the passengers onboard the tourist boat at the time, were four men and three women, who were later transferred to the nearby Agios Nikolaos port, in northern Zakynthos.
The 114.99ft Custom expedition motor yacht Koi was built by McMullen & Wing in New Zealand, she was delivered to her owner in 2001 and last refitted in 2014.
The yacht was specifically designed for significant expedition adventures, as well as for luxurious comfort while cruising.
