Greek songwriter and composer Mikis Theodorakis launched a scathing attack at the SYRIZA-Independent Greeks government, claiming that it is the most right-wing administration in Greece since 1831.
Theodorakis; a guru of the Left with long-standing ties to the Communist Party of Greece, explained his statement saying that the government “in addition to the destructive policy imposed on our people, has signed treaties which hand over to foreign powers the future of the country for many decades to come.”
Mikis; as he is affectionately known in Greece, added that PM Alexis Tsipras has undermined democratic institutions and that as long as he commands a parliamentary majority he will remain in his post, “even if only 1% of the population supports him.”
