Bank Deposits Rose by About one Billion Euros in September

Bank deposits by Greek lenders rose by about one billion euros in September, based on converging estimates of bank executives and despite the climate in recent weeks and the payment of tax obligations, domestic banking sources told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Friday.

The same sources said that 30 percent of the increase in bank deposits since 2015 was recorded this summer, which is attributed to the big rise in tourist arrivals in Greece.
