Anarchists Injure 3 Army Cadets at Violent Attack in Athens

Seven people; among them three army cadets dressed in uniform, were injured after an attack by about 30 people wearing hoods, in central Athens on Sunday.
The incident took place at Monastiraki Square, a little before scheduled rallies of leftists,  anarchist groups, and right-wing demonstrators against the gender identity change bill at Syntagma Square.
According to witnesses about 30 people with their faces covered attacked the three cadets calling them “fascists”. The victims tried to run to a nearby café, but the assailants caught up and attacked them. A soldier who was on leave and three citizens who were nearby were also attacked and called fascists.
The three cadets were taken to 401 Army Hospital where they received treatment for their light injuries.
