Carla Bruni; former first lady of France, launched her international world tour in Greece on Monday evening at Pallas concert hall, and Athens welcomed her with a very warm applause.
“Kalispera Athina” (Good evening Athens) she said; charming the Athenian audience.
Bruni chose Greece to launch her new album “French Touch” because as she said in a recent interview, she loved the country and its people.
Her husband, Nicolas Sarkozy, was also in the audience.
Bruni will give a second concert on Tuesday before travelling to Spain, Portugal, Germany, England, the Netherlands, the United States and South America to continue her world tour.
“French Touch” which will be released later in October, contains a collection of well-known English cover songs.
