Police in Kalavryta, Peloponnese, are searching for the driver of a pick-up truck who tied a small dog behind the vehicle and drove away at a high speed.
The horrific footage published in a local news site was captured by the driver of another vehicle.
The second driver said that the offender paid no attention to his warnings that he was about to call the police, and continued torturing the animal.
The fate of the dog is not known, although police officers that rushed to the scene said they found drops of blood on parts of the road.
A spokesman for a local animal welfare association said a complaint was also made in the Electronic Crime Prosecution, which is contributing to the investigation.
