French President: Paris could Engage More in Cyprus Efforts


French President, Emmanuel Macron, expressed on Monday his country’s willingness to support any future effort for a Cyprus solution, stressing that France could be more engaged in the efforts if asked to do so.
Speaking to the press after a meeting he held with President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades in Paris, Macron referred to their excellent bilateral relations as well as to their economic cooperation; emphasizing on the activities of the French company TOTAL in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone, saying that Paris fully supports its presence in Cyprus.
According to a press release by the Cyprus Presidency, the two Presidents underlined the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries and their political willingness to further ehnace them in all fields, including Energy.
