Greek Teacher Asks Elementary School Pupils to Slap Classmate

Parents of an elementary school in Athens have called for the dismissal of a music teacher, for asking her pupils to slap a classmate as punishment.

According to the parents, the teacher at an Alimos primary school was outraged from the behaviour of 9-year-old pupil who was pretending he was driving a car during class.

She asked his classmates to each take turns slapping him.

The parent’s association wrote a letter to the principal of the school demanding the removal of the teacher.

The Ministry of Education has launched an inquiry into the incident.
