Greek police are investigating a hand grenade that was found outside the home of a prominent publisher in northern Athens, in the early hours of Wednesday.

Nikos Karamanlis; publisher of newspaper Paraskinio, discovered the grenade when he arrived at his home in Vrilissia.

It did not explode, and its safety pin had not been removed.

Karamanlis said that he has been threatened before.

Speaking to the Greek media, he added that he has his suspicion of who could be behind the attack, but he did not want to mention any names yet.
