Convicted Terrorist Stabbed by Inmates in Greek Jail

A group of inmates attacked and injured convicted terrorist Nikos Maziotis inside his cell at Korydallos prison, in Athens.
Maziotis; self-professed leader of the Revolutionary Struggle urban guerrilla group, was transferred to a prison hospital for treatment.
He was injured from blows to the head and ribs, and a knife wound in the abdomen.
It is not clear why Maziotis; serving a 50-year sentence, was set upon by other inmates.
Earlier in December, Maziotis was again hospitalized after starting a fire in his cell in protest at penitentiary authorities’ refusal to grant the demands of him and his partner Pola Roupa, who is also serving time for terrorist acts.
Maziotis is currently on a hunger strike that he started in mid-November.
