Anarchists Storm Athens Courthouse

The ‘Rubicon’ anarchist group struck again on Thursday, storming courthouse premises in downtown Athens.
Around 15 to 20 members of the group entered the courthouse yard early in the afternoon, throwing flyers and chanting anti-establishment slogans before disappearing in the busy streets around the building.
No arrests were made.
It was another blitz attack, similar to those carried out at the Greek Finance Ministry building, the Saudi embassy and the Public Power Corporation’s premises in recent months.
According to an online post, the group said the stunt was in retaliation against “corruption in the Greek justice sector”.
“We are well aware of the fact that when ‘independent’ Greek justice gets its instructions, it will hit us and other activists harder than ever,” the proclamation read.
“The main issue,” the posting adds, “is that we are being treated as pure criminals, instead of political activists.”
