A veteran Greek windsurfing champion is showing he still has what it takes in a series of stunning photographs taken in Crete.
Nikos Kaklamanakis, an Olympic gold medalist and three-time Mistral class windsurfing champion, posted images of himself battling the elements off the Mediterranean island.
In his post, the 49-year-old former Olympic torch-bearer wrote: “I’m not afraid of the sea.
Waves are energy and power.”
When asked by friends if he was afraid of the waves he answered: “The only thing that scares me is to live a normal life away from the sea and my dreams.”
