Greece to Rub Shoulders with FYROM at Eurovision 2018 Semi-Finals

They may be separated at the talks table but Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) will be briefly united in May during semi-finals for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Portugal.
A draw in Lisbon on Monday saw Greece end up in the same group as FYROM and Cyprus. Nineteen countries will participate in the first semi-final. Portugal, Spain and the U.K. will vote in this semi-final.
Greece will choose its entry for the competition on Feb. 16. Greek singer and 2005 Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou has already reportedly turned down an offer to represent Cyprus in this year’s contest, according to the Eurovision Fan Club in Greece (INFE).
