Cretan Fair Offers the Best of Greek Wines

This weekend, Wines of Crete, the association that groups together the winemakers of Greece’s biggest island, will be throwing open the doors to OiNotika 2018, the Cretan wine fair, in the city of Chania.
During the event, visitors will be able to taste more than 350 labels from 32 different Cretan wineries.
The Cretan wine exhibition, which has reached its eleventh year, is yet another event organized by the local network of Cretan wine producers aimed at promoting and boosting recognition of the island’s labels and varieties, both in Greece and abroad.

Wines of Crete actively works for the development of wine tourism, as well as on the education of professionals and consumers through different activities, such as wine-tasting sessions, seminars, and other related events.
Thanks to the efforts of Wines of Crete, the island has achieved the status of a very dynamic area regarding the production of quality wines made from 11 different indigenous grape varieties.
The event will be taking place at the Minoa Palace Resort & Spa, in the city of Platanias with the following visiting hours: Saturday, Feb. 24 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb 25 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
