Greek Woman Killed in Flood Tragedy

Greek emergency services discovered the body of a 59-year-old woman who drowned after her car was swept away by a torrent near the village of Drimonas in Evia.
20 firemen with eight vehicles rushed to the scene and attempted to rescue the woman after her daughter, who was in the same vehicle, called for help.
The 27-year-old daughter was saved by grabbing a branch of a tree.
Greece is bracing itself for days of storms, heavy rain and snow over the weekend.
Local authorities in many parts of Greece have been on alert amid the heavy rainfall, which has overflown rivers and flooded farmland in central Greece.
