On Monday’s Eurogroup, eurozone finance ministers will not discuss Greece’s debt easing, nor the supervision of Greek reforms after the bailout program ends in August, according to a Kathimerini newspaper report.
The report says that technical discussions have not progressed enough to give the finance ministers a full picture of the state of Greek economy and the progress of required reforms for the fourth evaluation of the bailout program.
The two issues are expected to be discussed in the next Eurogroup in Sofia in April. A European official told Kathimerini that the fourth, and final, review of the bailout program includes 88 prerequisites and is expected to be completed in May.
In regards to the disbursement of the €5.7 billion loan tranche, eurozone finance ministers will have to get the approval of their national parliaments first. After that, the board of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) will meet to give the final approval.
The remaining €1 billion is expected to be disbursed in April, with the prerequisites for that being repayment of outstanding debts to the private sector and full and uninterrupted online auctions.
