Greek Fighter Jet Intercepts Turkish Drone

Greek F-16 fighter jets blocked a Turkish drone on Holy Thursday, making it the first instance a Turkish drone violates Greek airspace.
According to a militaire.gr report on Thursday, a Turkish Navy UAV ANKA was detected by a Greek radar in the Rhodes area.
The Greek Air Force fighter jets from Kastelli took off immediately and headed to the area where the UAV ANKA was spotted. Upon the arrival of the Greek aircraft, the Turks withdrew it for a while to their own airspace, but quickly sent it back to Greece’s.
The Greek F-16 followed its flight until the Turks pulled it back to their aispace.
The Turkish drone had taken off from the Dalala Air Force Base.
This was the first recorded violation of a UAV ANKA after the official announcement of their incorporation to the Turkish Navy on March 27.
