Father Christophoros Gourlis has a unique and unconventional way to conduct the liturgy at his Panagia Evangelistria church in the Greek island of Chios.
His spectacular gestures, such as running, as in flight, out of the Sanctuary and throwing laurels to the faithful, have made him an internet sensation especially among the younger generations.
He has been dubbed the flying priest and his reputation has spread beyond Chios and Greece.
On Thursday, a film crew from Australia was at the church to record his liturgy.
According to a local site called politischios.gr, Father Christophoros also offered a prayer for the two Greek soldiers held in Turkey.
