Outstanding Debts to the State Increase by €770M in March

Outstanding debts to the Greek State increased by €770 million in March, reaching a total of €101.641 billion, according to data released by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) on Friday.
At the same time, old overdue debts in March dropped to €97.885 billion, compared to €98.340 billion in February.
New overdue debts increased by €3.555 billion in March compared to €2.779 billion euros in February. As far as overdue tax debts alone, they increased to €3.309 billion in March from €2.601 billion in the previous month.
According to the same data, the number of debtors to the State dropped to 3,907,847 in March against 3,964,279 in February. Debtors who were subjected to forced collection measures were 1,720,690 in March compared with 1,739,301 in February, while those who may be subject to forced measures amounted to 1,109,971 compared to 1,088,696 in February.
