A Total 350 Undocumented Migrants Arrive on Lesvos and Chios on Sunday

Three hundred and fifty undocumented migrants landed on the islands of Lesvos and Chios on Sunday, only days after Lesvos residents protested against the overcrowded registration facilities.

Specifically, about 270 migrants from the Turkish shores landed on Lesvos on five separate boats. At the same time, another 80 migrants arrived on Chios.

A total 831 migrants have arrived on the islands of the eastern Aegean since the beginning of the month. Specifically, 554 of them reached Lesvos, 218 arrived on Chios and 50 more landed on Samos.

At the same time, Greek authorities express concern over the rapidly rising number of undocumented migrants who cross the land border with Turkey in the Evros region.
