Police Make Arrests Amid Greek Cup Final Trouble (video)

Greek police made 14 arrests in and around Athens’ Olympic stadium in connection with disturbances before and after the Greek Football Cup Final on Saturday night.
Video from the scene shows a number of fires inside the stadium where flares and fireworks had been thrown by fans during the 2-0 defeat of AEK by PAOK of Thessaloniki.
Six people were held by security forces immediately after the final whistle. The security force presence in and around the stadium had been formidable, amid widespread expectation of fan trouble.
Some media reports said AEK fans attacked officers on their way out of the grounds in north Athens, throwing flares and other missiles at riot police.
Some of the arrests were for petty theft and drugs offences.
