Video has emerged of frightened office workers pleading with masked anarchists who smashed up their Athens notary business on Friday.
A group of men belonging to the Rouvikonas anarchist group attacked the offices of the notary company in central Athens in a protest against, what they claim, was the firm’s participation in controversial house auctions.
Rouvikonas uploaded a video on social media which shows its members breaking computers and windows with hammers and trashing office equipment before running away.
Terrified office staff are heard pleading with the vandals, saying their premises had nothing to do with the auctions, but to no avail.
No arrests were made.
The group has been responsible for numerous attacks against notary offices, foreign embassies and diplomatic missions over the last few years.
