Speedboat Crash in Crete Leaves Three Dead, One Injured

Three people died and one was seriously injured after their speedboat crashed on rocks at the coast of Sfakia, southern Crete, in the early hours of Saturday.
According to reports, the dead include two brothers, 32 and 33-year-old, and another 35-year-old man.

On board was also a 30-year-old man who was seriously injured and was first transferred to the Sfakia Health Center and then to a hospital in Chania.
Greece’s coast guard is investigating the causes of the accident that occurred at around 2 a.m. local time.
Reports say that the men were locals and knew the area. They were apparently returning from an evening cruise with the speedboat.
