Greek media are reporting that dozens of undocumented migrants and refugees were found in the Aegean Sea on Monday in two operations.
An EU Frontex vessel found 31 people in an inflatable craft being captained by a 16-year-old youth off the coast of Lesvos. They were taken to port and the youth was arrested.
Later, the Greek Coast Guard found another craft with 57 people on board who were transferred to Mytilini on the island.
On Sunday, the Greek authorities also found 60 undocumented migrants in Crete. A statement from the coast guard confirmed that a 33-year-old foreign national was arrested on suspicion of smuggling the people into Greece.
