The office of an opposition lawmaker was stormed by a group of anarchists on Thursday evening in central Athens.
Around 30 anarchists broke into the office of New Democracy lawmaker Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, spray-painting slogans and scattering fliers in solidarity with convicted November 17 hitman Dimitris Koufodinas, currently on hunger strike.
The lawmaker said the assailants left the scene after a guard fired a warning shot in the air. No injuries were reported.
Varvitsiotis posted footage of the incident on Twitter.

He also posted photos of the scene after the incident, saying that his office has been targeted for a third time by leftists and anarchists. Such attacks are blow to democracy, Varvitsiotis said.
(@MVarvitsiotis) June 7, 2018
