Blaze in Central Greece Reveals Ancient Artifacts (video)

A blaze that was extinguished by firefighters north of Megaplatanos village in Central Greece has revealed a trove of ancient artifacts, thought to have been hidden there by thieves.
According to a Ministry of Culture announcement, hundreds of antiquities were found inside plastic bags hidden under bushes. The clay artifacts included bowls, pots, vases and figurines of men, women and animals. They date to the 5th century BC.
Local news site Lamia Report says that some of the objects were wrapped with old newspapers, while the bowls were stacked inside each other. Police also found digging tools nearby.
