Greek Police Make Arrests After Assault at Pride Rally in Thessaloniki



Two people taking part in Thessaloniki‘s Pride event on Saturday were verbally assaulted and thrown into the sea, police have said.

Greek police also say they made four arrests after the incident in which two people taking part in the march and rally became separated from the main crowd and were accosted by the gang.

No injuries were reported.

Several thousand people took part in the now-annual event, which is in its seventh year in the northern Greek city.
