Tsitsipas out of Grand Slam; Put up a Good Fight against Isner

On Monday, 19-year-old Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, lost his fight to become the first ever Greek player to reach the last-eight at a Grand Slam.
Tsitsipas was defeated by American ninth seed John Isner with a 6-4, 7-6 (10/8), 7-6 (7/4) loss. Now, Isner is set to play his first Wimbledon quarter-final, which will take place Wednesday against Milos Raonic for a semi-final spot.
Last week the Greek teenager made history by beating out his Italian competitor Thomas Fabbiano, making him the first Greek man in the Open Era to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam.
Tsitsipas now stands in the position of a career high World No. 35 in the ATP Rankings, when just one year ago he came in at No. 192.
This year, he also set the record as the first Greek man in 49 years to make it to the third round of a major as well as becoming the first Greek to battle to a tour-level final since 1973.
