The funeral for Sokratis S. Kokkalis is to take place at 11.00 a.m. on Friday at the Athens Cathedral, the Kokkalis Foundation has announced.
An announcement issued by the family thanked people “for the great and moving tide of support” in its time of grief.
“The expression of love from the family, the immediate and broader friendly and work environment, as well as the messages from all of society, give us strength at this difficult time and honour the person and memory of our dear son and brother,” the announcement read.
The family has set up an electronic web-page for condolences at the website www.kokkalisfoundation.gr and requested donations in lieu of funeral wreaths to the charities ‘Mazi Gia to Paidi’ and Eliza. www.mazigiatopaidi.gr and www.eliza.org.gr
Sokratis Kokkalis Junior, son of Greek tech billionaire Sokratis Kokkalis, died unexpectedly last Saturday at the age of just 34 years old, while on a business trip to the United States.
The 34-year-old was found dead in his hotel room in Cleveland. He was the son of Sokratis Kokkalis from his marriage with Eleni Kokkali.
